Borys Tarasyuk stated, that all Ukrainian national-patriotic forces must unite into a powerful opposition around its leader Yulia Tymoshenko.
"Yulia Tymoshenko said we need to unite a democratic coalition. The People’s Movement of Ukraine (Rukh) supports this action and these events. Every united democratic opposition must have its leader. Our leader is Yulia Tymoshenko," Borys Tarasyuk said today during the viche of Ukrainian patriotic forces that took place today by the monument to Taras Shevchenko in Kyiv.
Borys Tarasyuk noted that the democratic forces should have united around a single candidate – Yulia Tymoshenko – before the elections. "This didn’t happen because some pseudo-patriots decided to undermine our unity. As a result we were duped with unheard of falsification. They stole the victory of our candidate – Yulia Tymoshenko."
Borys Tarasnyuk noted that immediately after his victory in the election, Viktor Yanukovych said in Moscow that by May 9 he will annul the decrees awarding Stepan Bandera and Roman Shukhevych the titles of Hero of Ukraine. The president also promised to make Russian the second state language in Ukraine. "This means destroying the Ukrainian language, the essence of the Ukrainian nation," Borys Tarasyuk believes.
